Job summary

University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) seeks lecturers for the P-12 Educational Leadership program. Appointments are part-time, non-tenure track, and will be made semester-by-semester. Courses are offered online, in-person, and via hybrid modalities, with on-campus teaching common and occasional remote options.

Salary is $3,900 per 3-credit course. Open to Colorado residents or those intending to reside in Colorado. Apply by visiting cu.edu/cu-careers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Education Administration, or a closely related field.
• Professional experience in the specific course content area.
• Terminal degree (PhD, EdD, or JD) preferred.
• Active Principal, Special Education Director, or Administrator License desirable.
• Ongoing engagement in professional development in the course area desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned course in assigned course modality.
• Develop syllabus for course using College of Education accessible course template.
• Complete necessary trainings as determined by Department, College, and/or University.
• Develop, maintain, and utilize Canvas shell for duration of the course.
• Ensure Canvas shell meets accessibility standards.
• Assess student assignments and submit final grades by deadline in Canvas and CU-SIS.
• Inform program faculty director and/or department chair of student issues and concerns in a timely manner.

Education

Master's degree in Educational Leadership

Terminal degree (PhD/EdD/JD)

Active administrator license desirable

Professional development in course area desirable
