Job summary

Eliot is hiring a Housing First Coordinator for our Homeless Services division in Boston, MA. The role focuses on person-centered, strengths-based case management to help unsheltered adults transition to stable housing and financial independence.

Expect engagement onsite with flexible fieldwork, following Housing First principles, and collaboration with community partners. Weekend shift, with opportunities for growth within Eliot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field or social work or related field.
• 2 years case management or comparable experience with the homeless population or lived experience with substance use disorder, homelessness, or mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Work onsite at the office and in the field with flexibility to respond to needs throughout the day.
• Engage in client-centered/harm-reduction/Housing First framework.
• Build positive working relationships with community members and coalitions.
• Advocate to ensure person-centered, strength-based, recovery-oriented interactions.
• Develop and implement needs assessments and action plans with clients to improve housing stability.
• Address ongoing clinical and systemic needs with attention to risk factors.
• Develop and implement safety response plans as needed.
• Knowledge of area resources is a plus; familiarity with homelessness, substance use, mental illness, and trauma is essential.
