Job summary

AtlantiCare is seeking a part-time Hospital Pharmacist to ensure accurate distribution of medications and oversee pharmacy technicians. The role involves interpreting orders, verifying interactions, and maintaining patient records in a hospital setting.

Applicants should hold a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy and hold a New Jersey pharmacist license. ACLS/CPR are preferred; two years of hospital experience is also preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
• Current New Jersey State license as a Registered Pharmacist.
• ACLS and CPR certifications preferred for hospital pharmacists.
• Two years hospital pharmacy experience preferred; related clinical knowledge valued.

Responsibilities

• Distributes medications accurately and timely per procedures.
• Interprets and verifies orders for drug interactions, allergies and diseases.
• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians and maintains patient profiles records.
• Participates in clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives.
