Academy of Mathematics and Science, Inc. in Little Rock is seeking a Paraprofessional (Teacher’s Assistant) to support teachers and students across K–8.

You will assist with lesson delivery, small-group instruction, and classroom operations to foster a safe, engaging learning environment. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) with paraprofessional exam or higher education, and may include bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize materials and assist with classroom activities.
• Experience supporting teachers and students in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers with lesson delivery, classroom activities and transitions.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group assistance to reinforce skills.
• Assist with learning plans, interventions and student support.
• Supervise lunch, recess, arrival and dismissal times.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with grading and documentation.
• Collaborate with staff and provide substitute support when needed.
