Job summary

Marlborough Public Schools seeks a Long Term Substitute Paraeducator for Whitcomb Middle School in Marlborough, MA. The role supports students with disabilities under licensed staff, following IEP/504 plans, and assists in instruction, behavior management, and data collection.

The position requires an Associate degree or 48 college credits, ParaPro test, or equivalent; bilingual candidates are preferred. It is a full-time, in-person assignment with a daily rate of $110.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree or 48 undergraduate credits.
• Pass the ParaPro test.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish and/or Portuguese).
• Prefer prior experience with children in a school setting.
• Must be a team player and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the instruction and supervision of students, supporting academically, socially and behaviorally.
• Support students with IEPs/504 plans.
• Assist with test administration and data collection.
• Follow de-escalation and safety protocols; assist in restraints when needed.
• Attend training and maintain certifications in related techniques.
• Escort and supervise students between areas.
• Collaborate with teachers and related staff to foster learning.
