Job summary

University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford invites applications for a joint, full-time, 12-month non-tenure-track faculty position in PA studies/health science at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor starting in January 2027 or August 2027.

The appointment is a joint PA Studies and Health Science faculty role with responsibilities including curriculum development, teaching, assessment, and student advising, plus participation in PAS and NUPH department meetings and admissions

Qualifications

• Graduate of an physician assistant program accredited by ARC-PA.
• Terminal degree for discipline, with a minimum of a Master’s.
• NCCPA certified.
• Active, unencumbered state physician assistant license.
• 2 years of clinical practice preferred.
• Higher education experience preferred.
• Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team of highly motivated and experienced individuals.
• Honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
• Developing or continuing an active program of scholarship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum development, teaching, assessment and remediation in both undergraduate and graduate courses, and student advising.
• Participation in PAS and NUPH department/program meetings and PA Studies admissions.
• Continuous program-analysis and other responsibilities as assigned.
