Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to support students in an educational setting in South Carolina. This contract role focuses on providing accurate interpretation for students and staff across instructional activities and school events.

The interpreter will collaborate with teachers to support diverse learning needs, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards throughout a 37.5-hour workweek from August 5, 2026, to June 4, 2027, onsite at the school.

Qualifications

• Hold current South Carolina Sign Language Interpreter (SC SLI) certification.
• Proficiency in ASL and English with the ability to interpret in real time.
• Previous experience in educational settings is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a dedication to inclusive education.
• Flexibility to work onsite throughout the school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation services for students and staff in a variety of academic environments.
