Job summary

Great Oaks Recovery Center in Egypt, Texas, is seeking an FT Counselor (Tues-Sat) to provide counseling and support for clients in recovery from addictions and co-occurring disorders. You will conduct assessments, lead counseling sessions, and develop treatment plans while ensuring timely documentation of care.

The role requires a social services degree with licensure (or related Master’s degree) and CPR/de-escalation training, with onsite work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree required in relevant field with licensure or certification

Responsibilities

• Conduct client assessments to identify history, current presentation, treatment needs and risk
• Lead group, individual or family counseling sessions using evidence-based modalities
• Prepare treatment plans and document progress and aftercare plans
• Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed
• Coordinate with insurance carriers and referral sources; maintain clear client records
