Job summary

Encore Rehab in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for part- and full-time positions. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in an assigned facility.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy, a valid KY license, and strong communication skills; familiarity with accreditation standards and compliance is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current KY license to practice.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance within state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical services to residents under physician’s orders.
• Reports patient progress, complications, and response to treatment to the OT.
• Assists OT in procedures, tests, and treatments to ensure safe evaluation and treatment.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient, facility, and physician information.
• Attends interdisciplinary and family meetings as appropriate.
• Maintains accurate billing information daily.
• Supervises non-professional staff when appropriate.
• Contributes to staff training/education and adheres to policies.
