Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care by organizing and conducting prescribed programs to maximize potential, with compliance to State Practice Act and governing bodies. The role supports the department's growth through special projects and coordination of patient care activities.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited OT program, current OT license or eligibility in the hiring state (temporary license up to 90 days), and current BLS certification;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs to achieve maximum potential.
• Display treatment skills in accordance with the State Practice Act and governing bodies.
• Promote growth and development of the department by assisting in special projects and coordinating activities in patient care programs.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
