Job summary

KIPP Chicago is seeking a Multilingual Learners Case Manager to directly impact ML students’ academic success. The role includes ESL instruction with small groups, bilingual support, and maintaining ML records. The incumbent reports to the School Leader and aligns with the ML program across campuses.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelors, a CPS-licensed ESL/Bilingual endorsement, fluent Spanish, and prior ML experience. CPS background check is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Illinois Professional Educators License with Bilingual and/or ESL endorsement.
• Written and oral fluency in Spanish is required.
• At least two years of prior success as a lead classroom teacher.
• Substantial prior experience with Multilingual Learner students.
• Cleared CPS Background check prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESL/bilingual instruction to ML students with small groups.
• Create differentiated lesson plans to build bilingual students’ English skills.
• Provide Spanish-language instructional support and facilitate comprehension.
• Administer the ACCESS English proficiency test annually.
• Attend mandatory professional development and coordinate ML testing.
• Coordinate with campuses to support ML caseload and family communication.
