Qualifications

• NJ instructional certification or eligibility.
• Knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.

Responsibilities

• Instructs to meet state core curriculum standards using board-adopted curricula and approved courses.
• Develops lesson plans and materials; provides individualized and small group instruction.
• Sets objectives in lesson prep and weekly plans; delivers instruction to achieve them.
• Analyzes student data to drive instruction and monitor progress toward objectives.
• Maintains records of student progress and reports on outcomes.
• Identifies pupil needs and collaborates with staff to resolve learning problems.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior to foster a conducive learning environment.
• Plans class activities and presentations that meet diverse needs.
