Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum and accommodate individual differences.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials suited to students’ learning styles.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Work with staff to determine instructional goals and methods; supervise instructional aides and volunteers.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers; oversee completion.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues and the community.
• Participate in staff development and comply with district regulations; attend faculty meetings and serve on committees.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
