Job summary

Academy Prep Center of Tampa is seeking a dedicated middle school science teacher to deliver engaging, inquiry-based instruction to Grades 5 and 6. You will plan four daily science blocks, differentiate lessons, and provide tutoring and academic support to students.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Science or Education, teaching certification preferred, and two or more years of middle school teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach four Science sections daily for Grades 5 and 6.
• Prepare engaging, inquiry-based science lessons.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Provide tutoring and academic support.
• Assist with supervision duties (breakfast, lunch, dismissal).
• Teach during Summer Program and participate in evaluations and selections.
• Attend weekly meetings and professional development.
• Chaperone field trips and participate in school events.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or related field

Teaching certification preferred

Two or more years of middle school teaching experience preferred
