Job summary

Freire Charter Middle School in Center City Philadelphia seeks a dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join Freire Schools’ instructional team. You will implement standards-aligned math curriculum for grades 5–8, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and high achievement while welcoming feedback and coaching.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, valid teaching certification or commitment to obtain one, and at least two years of diverse-student classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid state teaching certification, or a clear ability to obtain certification.
• Strong content-area knowledge and instructional skill.
• Positive, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit.
• Minimum of two years of experience with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities
