Northampton Area School District is seeking a Middle School Math Teacher (LTS) for the Northampton Area Middle School. The role begins January 14, 2027 and runs through the 2026-27 school year. Daytime hours are 7:09 a.m.

to 2:50 p.m. The teacher will plan, organize and direct instruction for grades 6–8 and align with PA Core Standards. School district requires a Bachelor's degree or higher, PA teaching certificate and Highly Qualified status, plus strong communication and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Possesses valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate and Highly Qualified status.
• Strong oral and written English communication; maintains confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Teaches middle school mathematics as per approved curriculum.
• Analyzes student data to guide instruction.
• Maintains classroom standards and district discipline policies.
• Administers assessments and communicates progress to parents.
• Collaborates with staff on student health, behavior and learning needs.
• Adheres to PA Core Standards and IEP requirements.
