Job summary

  • Specialized experience: one year equivalent to GS-05; ability to monitor weather/water/climate hazards and assist forecast preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate forecast weather, water, and climate hazards to produce life-saving warnings and general forecasts.
  • Provide IDSS products, tailored notifications, and briefings for public safety partners.
  • Collect and analyze environmental data to forecast critical elements across spatial scales.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve day-to-day WFO/NCEP operations.
