Job summary
Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Medical Intercare D6B unit at Baystate Medical Center. Qualifications
- Licensed RN in Massachusetts.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Diploma in Nursing or higher required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a 42-bed Medical Step-Down Unit.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes.
- Monitor patients continuously with cardiac, vital-sign, and bedside hemodynamic systems.
- Provide 24-hour surveillance of monitoring equipment and recognize trends.
- Respond to changes in patient status with appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families, promote safe transitions of care.
