Job summary

Mathnasium South Barrington is seeking a dedicated Math Instructor to teach and tutor K-12 students, using the Mathnasium Method™. You will create a welcoming in-center environment, assess progress, and communicate with center staff to maximize learning outcomes.

The role offers part-time, in-person shifts after school and on weekends, with compensation ranging from $15.50 to $18.50 per hour. Great opportunity for growth and leadership development across centers.

Qualifications

• Math proficiency and ability to work with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
• Ability to balance various ongoing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Teach/tutor in-center using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
• Support the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment.
