Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent; JD with accounting background preferred; advanced taxation degrees valued.
• At least 5 years in mergers & acquisitions, tax structuring, due diligence, and international tax planning at big firms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, plus cross-border tax planning.
• Proficient in Excel; able to leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis and deliverables.
• Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day tax planning workstreams on engagements; deliver timely analyses and client-ready work products.
• Perform and review tax due diligence, assess risks and opportunities, and draft issue lists.
• Coordinate post-merger integration tasks; track actions and ensure timelines.
• Build and review tax models (benefit/step-up, E&P, stock and basis, cost analyses).
• Review tax provisions in purchase agreements and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with state, local, and international tax teams and cross-functional due diligence teams.
• Maintain regular client communication and support senior leaders in relationship development.
