Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical nutrition, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, food service operations, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
• Plan and review menus with food service to meet dietary needs and restrictions.
• Provide nutrition education to residents and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain confidential records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to dietary services.
• Provide training and guidance to dietary staff.
