Job summary

Sevita in Florida is seeking an LPN/LVN to advance your nursing career in a setting that delivers high‑impact care to adults with brain injury, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and emotional or behavioral challenges.

You will administer medications, conduct assessments, and provide prescribed treatments per physician orders while training staff on safety, infection control, and patient education, coordinating with external providers.

Qualifications

• Requires LPN/LVN licensure in the state of residence.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with the population served in a nursing capacity.
• Certifications such as CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS, BBP, and ACT training are required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health conditions and ensure quality services.
• Administer medications and document administration; oversee staff who administer medications.
• Provide prescribed medical treatments and perform personal care services.
• Conduct assessments and implement health-care services per ISP; respond to changes in condition.
• Train staff on universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration.
• Liaise with medical providers and coordinate services with external agencies.
• Educate individuals served on self-medication, prescribed treatments, sex education/STD prevention, and smoking cessation.
