VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses for the MCI-Framingham facility in Framingham, MA. This role covers part-time and full-time shifts within a correctional health care setting, offering competitive wages, an annual incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

The LPN delivers patient care within the scope of practice, monitors patients, administers medications, and collaborates with a health team. A current MA LPN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
• Possesses an active CPR certification.
• Remains knowledgeable about state laws and regulations governing practice.
• Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each patient.
• Implements nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice.
• Assists in developing and implementing teaching plans for health promotion, maintenance and restoration.
• Cares for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing.
• Administers medications to offenders.
• Provides care for multiple patients as directed by licensed medical staff.
• Monitors vital signs and reports changes to the medical team.
• Documents actions in MAR and medical records.
• Performs other nursing duties as assigned.
