Responsibilities

• Creates lesson plans aligned with district standards and provides individualized instruction.
• Translates instructional materials into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Keeps regular communication with parents through newsletters, notes, calls, and conferences.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior for an effective learning environment.
• Evaluates student progress and maintains records, including progress reports.
• Plans with a team to refer students for individualized education plans as needed.
• Coordinates paraprofessional support in the classroom.
