Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Logistics Specialist for Local Warehousing & Distribution in the NJ/PA area. You will manage daily distribution orders, coordinate with the external warehouse, and oversee 3rd party logistics relationships to ensure accurate stock and compliant processes.

The role emphasizes inventory control, SAP transactions, and liaising with authorities to maintain high distribution standards while contributing to growth and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics.
• 1–3 years in a global environment with a complex matrix organization (Animal Nutrition preferred).
• At least 1+ year in Warehousing & Distribution and management of 3rd party logistics providers.
• Experience outsourcing high-standard distribution and warehousing activities.
• Experience with authorities and internal/external audits.
• Knowledge of warehousing and transportation and Hazmat materials.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational orders for local distribution and warehousing.
• Reconcile inventory with the external warehouse in Pennsylvania.
• Manage relationships with 3rd party logistics providers and warehouse service providers.
• Process inbound receiving and SAP inventory transactions to ensure stock accuracy.
