Job summary

dsm-firmenich is seeking a Logistics Specialist for Local Warehousing & Distribution in the NJ/PA area. The role focuses on daily distribution/warehousing operations, inventory reconciliation with a PA warehouse, and managing multiple third-party providers to ensure stock availability and compliant processes.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in related field with 1–3 years in a global matrix organization, warehouse/3PL experience, and strong SAP and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a global environment with a complex matrix organization.
• At least 1+ years in Warehousing and Distribution and management of 3rd party logistics providers.
• Experience with outsourcing of complex and high-standard distribution and warehousing activities.
• Experience dealing with authorities and audits.
• Knowledge of Warehousing and Transportation; Hazmat considered.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Advanced computing: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; SAP R/3 & BW.

Logistics Specialist, Local Warehousing & Distribution (NJ/PA)

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day operational orders for local distribution and warehousing.
• Inventory reconciliation with the external warehouse in Pennsylvania.
• Responsible for day-to-day operational relationships with various third-party providers, including:
  • The warehouse service provider.
  • The management logistics service provider.
• Responsible for inbound receiving and SAP inventory transactions to guarantee stock available in accordance with the proper process and procedure administration.

You Bring:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics.
• 1-3 years' of experience in a global environment with a complex matrix organization, preferable in the Animal Nutrition industry.
• At least 1+ years of experience in Warehousing and Distribution and the management of the 3rd party logistics service providers.
• Experience with outsourcing of complex and very high standard distribution and warehousing activities.
• Experience in dealing with authorities and internal or external audits.
• Knowledge of and experience with Warehousing and Transportation in general and Hazmat materials.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and/or external parties.
• Problem solving skills in a complex and fast-moving environment.
• Advanced computing skills in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP (R/3 and Business Warehouse)

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will bebased on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary: $63,000.00 - $90,000.00.
