Job summary

Central New York Psychiatric Center of the New York State Office of Mental Health seeks a Licensed Master Social Worker to deliver professional social work services to individuals with mental illness. You will join a multidisciplinary team in a recovery‑oriented setting and contribute to evidence‑based treatment and support.

You will provide crisis intervention, treatment planning, and discharge planning while coordinating with community resources to ensure continuity of care for service users

Qualifications

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) registered in New York State.
Eligible under NY HELPS Emergency Limited Placement program.
Transfer eligibility from State Service with 1 year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service.

Responsibilities

Provide crisis intervention and link to services; assist with discharge planning.
Develop treatment plans with individuals and the treatment team; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
Identify discharge needs and connect individuals with community resources.
Establish relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care.
