Job summary

Huckabee | a MOREgroup brand in Lexington, KY is seeking a collaborative Landscape Architect/Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of outdoor environments for sports & recreation and educational facilities. This role spans concept through construction, shaping spaces that promote learning, wellness, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven project management experience, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of internal staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program; licensure required.
• 5-8 years of professional landscape architecture experience on educational campuses or institutional projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of campus planning, site design, outdoor learning environments, and sustainable landscape design principles.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams in planning, design, and delivery from concept through construction.
• Conduct site evaluations and analyses to inform project design within environmental constraints.
• Partner with clients and stakeholders to develop design solutions aligned with goals and budgets.
• Oversee project execution to ensure design intent, quality, budgets, and schedules are met.
• Develop and manage budgets, schedules, proposals, and cost estimates in line with funding requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations, accessibility standards (ADA), and environmental guidelines.
• Lead preparation of master plans, site plans, construction documents, and project presentations.
