Job summary

Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) North Carolina is a network of eight tuition-free, college-preparatory public charter schools educating approximately 3,000 students. As a substitute teacher, you help keep learning on track for our students, for a day, a week, or longer.

Staff hours are 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with expectations to uphold school values and routines. Our schools foster equity, collaboration, and a growth mindset.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Pass Criminal Background Check.
• Demonstrated commitment to closing the opportunity gap.
• Zest, grit, professionalism, and a sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Execute provided lesson plans and collect student work.
• Display agendas, objectives, and homework for the class.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, teachers and staff.
• Support arrival, recess, and dismissal to create safe spaces for students.
