Job summary

The Arc Baltimore is seeking a CIE Employment Support Specialist II (Job Coach) in Baltimore, MD to help adults with developmental and/or other disabilities secure and maintain competitive employment. You will provide intensive supports and collaborate with employers to promote successful outcomes.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency driving requirements.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to transport people supported in a personal vehicle.
• Travel throughout Baltimore City & County.
• Must be independent and self-directed.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized intensive ongoing job supports such as teaching new job skills through systematic instruction.
• Modeling and training in interpersonal skills for the workplace.
• Assisting with workplace onboarding and trainings.
• Creating and implementing non-stigmatizing workplace accommodations and modifications.
• Developing natural supports and travel training.
• Maintain positive relationships within the workplace.
• Ensure health and safety needs of people supported are met on the job sites.
• Educate on mobility and public transportation options and help coordinate transportation.
