Job summary

Kaleidoscope Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Full-Time Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS) Therapist to join our field-based, hybrid team. You will provide short-term clinical intervention for youth at risk of placement disruption in homes and community settings.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, at least 2 years of experience, and the ability to travel throughout Cook County to support youth and families. LCPC/LCSW preferred; CWEL and CANS certifications may be pursued.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or related social service field.
• Minimum of 2 years of social service or related experience.
• LCSW or LCPC preferred (not required).
• Ability to obtain and maintain CWEL, CANS, and other Illinois certifications.
• Valid driver's license, insured vehicle, and ability to travel throughout Cook County.

Responsibilities

• Provide community- and home-based clinical services to assigned children, youth, and caregivers.
• Respond to IPS referrals with initial face-to-face assessments.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments for youth and caregiver.
• Develop, review, and update Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs).
• Deliver therapeutic interventions outlined in ITPs to support caregiver-child relationships and placement stability.
• Maintain timely documentation of admissions, ongoing, and closing activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of IPS Program Plan requirements, COA standards, and DCFS policies.
