Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks an Elementary-Middle-High School Classroom Teacher at Cold Springs Middle School to implement curriculum and teach one or more subjects under administrator supervision. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree with student teaching, three years of verified teaching experience, and the ability to obtain a Nevada teaching license.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with student teaching experience.
• Experience: Three (3) years of verified contracted teaching experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Ability to obtain a valid Nevada teaching license in the relevant subject/grade.
• Knowledge of child development, behavior, and instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares instruction aligned with Common Core standards.
• Delivers lessons, assesses learning, and embeds assessment in instruction.
• Maintains accurate records and participates in professional learning communities.
