Job summary

Central DeWitt Community School District in DeWitt, Iowa, is seeking an Assistant HS Girls Wrestling Coach for the 2026-2027 season. The coach will develop fundamental skills, strategy, and conditioning while modeling strong character and sportsmanship.

The position reports to the athletic director and works with high school and middle school staff to supervise and mentor athletes, coordinate practices, and ensure safety and compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
• Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
• The coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport
• The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the athletic program as approved by the school board.
• Schedule practices and supervise staff; evaluate assistants.
• Maintain discipline and monitor student-athletes' conduct and grades.
• Assist athletic director with scheduling tournaments and events.
• Ensure equipment management and inventory control.
