Job summary

The Housing Authority of the City of Aurora (AHA) is seeking a qualified professional to oversee the Housing Choice Voucher program and related housing initiatives. The role emphasizes accurate eligibility determinations, efficient case management, and strong customer service for diverse clients.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, communication skills, and the ability to work with confidential information while meeting HUD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in related field.
• 1 year experience with federal housing programs or similar.
• 1 year experience providing customer service to the public.

Responsibilities

• Determine initial and continued client eligibility based on income and family composition.
• Compute housing assistance payments and family rental rates per HUD regulations.
• Process annual recertification and interim changes including verification of participant information.
• Manage a high volume of caseloads and report participant information to HUD.
• Conduct meetings for new participants and existing clients.
• Maintain accurate applicant and participant records in required systems.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
