Job summary

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) Housing Trust Fund Corporation (HTFC) is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Small and Mid-Size Development office in Albany. The role involves maintaining project files, processing disbursement requests, and assisting with closeout for several SRDI, MOVE-IN, LCAP, MHAP and MHCFP programs.

You will coordinate with awardees, prepare documents, and manage data in SharePoint and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least three years’ experience in a fast-paced office performing support tasks.
• Preferable familiarity with housing and/or community development programs.
• Experience handling sensitive documents with discretion.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; SharePoint and Outlook usage.
• Able to create spreadsheets for data management and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating SMD programs and deliver assigned tasks.
• Review project applications for funding for completeness.
• Preliminary review of disbursement paperwork for accuracy.
• Log payments into SharePoint and other systems.
• Coordinate with awardees for submissions and reporting.
• Prepare letters, memos, and procedures; format documents with Word.
