Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Chaplain to provide compassionate spiritual care for patients, families, and staff across our hospital campuses. The role includes on-call duties and requires sensitivity to diverse cultures, religions, and beliefs.

A Bachelor’s degree and CPE units are required, with board certification strongly preferred. The chaplain will work within a multidisciplinary team, conduct spiritual assessments, and document visits in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in a related field.
• ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education: at least 4 units; hospice requires 1 unit of CPE.
• Board certification strongly preferred (APC or NACC) or actively pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care and counseling for patients, families, and staff.
• Offer on-call services as needed.
• Document spiritual visits in the EMR and department records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care.
