Qualifications

• Current NYS license to practice as a Physician Assistant.

• Current BLS certification required.
• Master’s Degree in Nurse Practitioner and national board certification.
• Current NYS NP license and RN license required.
• Collaborative practice agreement or attestations per NY law.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Document and communicate the plan of care and follow up.
• Perform daily patient rounds.
• Write orders for medications, labs, and tests.
• Interpret laboratory results and tests.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure quality care.
• Note discharge summaries and referrals in patient charts.
• Inform patients of post-discharge instructions.
