Job summary

Community Options in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Adult Development Home Provider/Foster Care to open your home to an individual with developmental or physical disabilities. This independently contracted position offers a 24/7 family-like setting and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in daily life.

Providers are contracted and reimbursed at a per-diem rate, plus they receive monthly room and board from the person supported; income is tax exempt.

Qualifications

• Required licenses and/or certifications listed below.
• Trainings within first 120 days of employment or as required by state.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Comply with regulations and maintain the required certifications for the home.
• Maintain copies of personal injury and liability insurance and a valid driver's license.
• Complete Community Options trainings as scheduled by the Residential Director.
• Report consumer accidents, injuries, illnesses or departures promptly to the Residential Director.
• Report suspected abuse or neglect within one hour to management.
• Notify changes in consumer behavior or home situation to the Residential Director within one working day.
• Ensure physician orders (medications, labs, exams) are reported and followed.
• Participate in developing and carrying out the consumer's treatment plan.
• Provide a safe, home-like environment with meals, transportation, and access to essentials.
