• An associate degree in engineering or a related field and four years of related highway/transportation construction and engineering experience, OR six years of related highway/transportation construction and engineering experience.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field may substitute for the required work experience on a year for year basis.
• Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process, verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment, and job function screening.

Responsibilities

• Manage and inspect highway construction projects, coordinating day-to-day activities with contractors.
• Prepare field reports and project documents, maintaining supervision on all work items.
• Assist in payment for completed work and collect approvals of materials used in construction.
• Document and maintain project records, inspection reports, and testing data.
• Assist in the design and environmental checklist documentation, and train technicians as needed.
