Job summary

The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) is hiring a durational Math Instructor for Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, CT. The position runs through April 1, 2027, with a 7-hour day, Monday–Friday, in the first shift.

The ideal candidate holds a 029 Mathematics endorsement and will teach standards-based mathematics to support graduation requirements, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus sequences as appropriate for the pathway.

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut secondary school endorsement in Mathematics (029).
• Experience teaching mathematics at the high school level is preferred.
• Ability to plan and deliver standards-based mathematics instruction to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high school mathematics instruction aligned to CT Core Standards.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Collaborate with guidance and support staff to implement IEP/504 accommodations.
• Design assessments and monitor student progress toward graduation requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with families and administrators.
