Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; Doctoral degree preferred.
• Strong pharmacology knowledge and clinical monitoring.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and supervisory skills.
• Ability to interpret lab results and calculate dosages.
• Experience with sterile compounding and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceutical care within assigned patient care areas.
• Interpret and clarify physicians’ medication orders; review patient profiles for safety and interactions.
• Recommend formulary alternatives based on clinical parameters.
• Consult with medical staff on drug therapy issues and monitor lab results.
• Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and discharge counseling.
• Participate in patient rounds, calculate dosages, verify orders for accuracy.
• Prepare compounded and sterile medications using aseptic techniques.
• Manage pharmacy supplies, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist and educate healthcare team members; coordinate activities with pharmacy personnel.
• Contribute to policy review and departmental improvements.
