Job summary

Texas Health Prosper is seeking a Security Officer to patrol and protect the Prosper campus, ensure safety, and coordinate with police and staff. This full-time role requires security or law enforcement background and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree preferred in Business Admin, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or related field.
• 2 years security or law enforcement preferred.
• 2 years healthcare or education preferred.
• Driver's License Class C and insurable.
• CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 2/3 within timelines.
• TASER Certification required within 120 days of hire; annual recertification.
• ACPI Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 30 days of hire.
• Must be able to physically defend or restrain individuals.
• Must pass a psychological evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas after hours.
• Locks and opens doors according to schedules.
• Provides escorts to parking areas.
• Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.
• Enforces campus parking policies and citations.
• Maintains compliance with Security policies.
• Pursues and detains individuals involved in criminal activity.
• Fills incident/offense reports and writes narratives.
• Gives directions to facility areas.
• Interacts with police, fire personnel, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Provides vehicle assistance.
• Patrols interior and perimeter of campus and parking areas.
