Job summary

Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Database Coordinator to organize and maintain electronic databases for departmental reporting and operations. The role includes handling drawings, specifications, cost data, and literature, plus communicating requirements to internal customers and external vendors.

The position involves reviewing drawings for power, data, height, and space constraints and coordinating with project teams to ensure alignment between drawings and equipment lists.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; prefer bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining a database
• Associate degree in computer science, CAD, or information systems tech may substitute for two years experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains department information databases.
• Manage and maintain facilities and/or equipment databases, including adding new items, retiring old items, updating specifications and/or costs, etc.
• Coordinates and manages standards information within facility database monthly. Creates and runs reports as required.
• Manages and maintains database of drawings, product sample materials and literature in department resource library.
• Maintains external website linked to departmental databases, assigns user IDs, monitors access, posts projects, answers user questions, retires old projects, and cancels access for external users.
• Maintains external website linked to departmental databases. Allocates user ID and passwords, monitors access, posts projects, resolves user questions, retires old projects, and cancels access for external users.
• Coordinates department specific work processes.
• Maintains department files and information.
• Manages internal and external relationships through effective communication.
• Leads and participates in a collaborative team environment to achieve the best possible outcomes.
