Job summary

Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. seeks a Graphic Designer to collaborate with the Public Information team on print and digital materials.

You will develop high-quality flyers, brochures, posters, newsletters, and digital assets for campaigns and events, while applying AI responsibly to support design efficiency and accessibility. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of graphic/digital design experience, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and CMS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of graphic/digital design experience.
• Experience with HTML/CSS and motion graphics is a plus.
• Strong color theory, typography, and information hierarchy knowledge.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or Wix.
• Comfortable on Mac or PC and with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Experience designing for print and digital channels (social media, web, email).
• Knowledge of AI-assisted tools and ethical use in design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design team to create concepts and visual assets for campaigns.
• Review and revise existing materials; design new print and digital materials.
• Design invitations, programs, brochures, posters, newsletters, ads and digital graphics.
• Develop production-ready designs for major ABCD initiatives and events.
• Enhance accessibility, image quality, captions, and versioning; maintain brand integrity.
• Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools to improve workflow and consistency.
• Maintain organized archives of photos and assets; manage multiple projects.
