Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business; master’s preferred
• 2+ years of accounting experience (GL principles)
• 2+ years of grant compliance experience
• Non-profit experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate and timely grant billings and monitors grant expenses by line item
• Collaborates with Accounts Payable and Payroll for proper grant fund allocation
• Develops and documents grant management processes to strengthen internal controls
• Sets up and maintains awarded grants
• Provides guidance on grants and contracts per grant accounting requirements
• Delivers regular grant financial reporting for management
• Assists in budgeting for all grants and reconciles discrepancies
• Prepares reimbursements for Federal, State, and local grants
• Monitors grant funds and prepares monthly journal entries
• Supports grant audits (SEFA, TDA, Feeding America, Feeding Texas) as needed
