Job summary

EY's Government and Infrastructure Assurance practice is growing, and as an analyst you'll partner with audit professionals to deliver quality assurance services to federal, state, local and education clients. You’ll learn business processes and data flows to provide exceptional client experiences.

You’ll act as primary day-to-day contact, build relationships with client personnel, and continuously develop knowledge of current issues and industry developments while advancing your CPA preparation

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or graduate degree and approximately 1 year of related work experience.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance or higher.
• Sufficient course work to achieve CPA certification upon passing the examination.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedication to teamwork and leadership.
• Travel to client sites up to 25–30% in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• You will be the primary day-to-day contact for our clients and build relationships and expertise with team members.
• Recognize potential audit issues or unusual relationships from analysis of the financial statements and communicate them to the assurance team.
• Document the execution of audit procedures as defined by engagement objectives and audit history.
• Challenge procedures used in the past and strive to enhance audit techniques.
• Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the audit client's environment.
• Maintain a strong client focus and productive working relationships with client personnel.
• Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client.
• Collaborate with assurance team members to set goals and responsibilities.
• Contribute ideas to the assurance teams and listen to other team members' views.
• Use technology to learn, share knowledge with assurance team members, and enhance service delivery.
• Bring potential opportunities to the assurance team's attention.
