Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Black Hawk Grundy Mental Health Center is seeking a master’s level licensed social worker or mental health counselor for a school-based outpatient therapy role. The team collaborates with families, school staff, and other professionals to support children and adults with mental health concerns.

Clinical supervision toward full independent licensure is provided, with travel to schools required and a generous benefits package including PTO and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or MFT with clinical concentration.
• LMSW, or LMHC, or LMFT licensure in Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations to students referred.
• Provide behavioral health interventions including individual, group and/or family therapy.
• Process new referrals to school-based services; contacting guardians, obtaining signed agency forms for treatment.
• Provide care coordination or case management services including information and referral, education, scheduling, and school meetings.
• Document all services in BHGMHC’s EHR per requirements and standards.
• Maintain license/certifications and adhere to HIPAA, regulatory guidelines.
• Complete annual education and competency requirements.

Education

Master Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy with a clinical/mental health concentration from an accredited school
