Job summary

Kansas Children’s Service League is hiring a full-time Healthy Families Home Visiting Family Support Specialist in Newton, KS. The role involves visiting families in their homes to promote positive home environments, strengthen parent-child relationships, and reduce family stress using an infant mental health approach.

Expect flexible hours including some evenings/weekends. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive starting wage of $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with or providing services to children and families.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries when providing supportive services.
• Ability to work flexible schedule which could include some evening/weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Builds trusting relationships with families using the Healthy Families America model.
• Visits families in their homes to support positive home environments and parent–child bonding.
• Performs screenings and assessments and uses Growing Great Kids curriculum during visits.
• Guides families in developing and following through on their Family Goal Plans.
