Job summary

Upbring is hiring a Family Engagement Advocate to coordinate services with families and communities, fostering strength, healthy living, and well‑being. The role includes ERSEA responsibilities, crisis assistance, and promoting family values across Head Start/Early Head Start programs.

You will conduct home visits, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with partners to ensure program success and positive outcomes for children and families. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Social Services or related field.
• Ability and willingness to obtain Family Development Credential (FDC) within 12 months of hire.
• One year of Early Head Start/Head Start-related experience or providing comprehensive services to families.

Responsibilities

• Maintain funded enrollment levels in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and Upbring Policies
• Provide parent orientation to ensure families are informed about enrollment for Early Head Start or Head Start
• Perform ERSEA duties with ongoing monitoring, compliance, and implementation
• Provide ongoing case management services through referrals to help families access programs and services
• Ensure follow up and referrals are initiated and monitored to support child health care per EPSDT requirements
• Conduct home visits and follow-up with families on parenting, child development, attendance, and wellness checks
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners to support family engagement and children's needs
• Ensure PIR data is current and accurate in the data management system
• Comply with policies, Child Care Minimum Standards, and HSPPS regulations; ensure health and safety of each child
• Use discretion and confidentiality in all matters related to families, staff, and Head Start/Early Head Start programs
• Staff must not use corporal punishment or child maltreatment as a discipline method

Associate’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, Family and Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
