Acelero Learning Wisconsin - Green Street Center is seeking a part-time Extended Day Teacher to work 2pm-6pm. You will collaborate with a Teacher and a team to implement curriculum in a Head Start setting, focusing on development across all domains for children of diverse abilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; CDA or higher degree is preferred. The role includes physicals and background checks, a strong family partnership focus, and benefits beyond pay.

Responsibilities

• Uses knowledge of child growth and development to work with children in a Head Start program.
• Maintains a child-centered curriculum and learning environment that supports positive social interaction and engagement.
• Plans and implements learning experiences to develop literacy, numeracy, language, and problem-solving abilities.
• Addresses challenging behaviors by observing, teaching social skills, and partnering with families.
• Documents children’s progress using observations and anecdotes to personalize curriculum.
• Encourages family involvement and supports relationships between children and families.
